Racesafe Jockey Vest

Designed for jockeys worldwide this body protector offers protection to the SATRA and EUROPEAN STANDARD EN 13158:2000 LEVEL 1.

It uses a laminate of extremely light and robust shock absorbing material developed specifically for this garment to keep the weight to less than ONE POUND.

Most body protectors are tested at 20°C, many jockeys race in temperatures far in excess of this where traditional foams become like putty losing their protective properties. The RACESAFE Jockey Vest passes both the SATRA and the EUROPEAN standard at 20°C and 40°C.

In development the Jockey Vest had to meet stringent criteria, it not only had to pass the relevant standards at normal and high temperatures, it also had to be light and comfortable to wear.

Following extensive trials a laminate of three layers of foams constructed in strips proved the most suitable. The continual movement of up to seventy of these independently hinged foam sections pump air through the channels to make this one of the most comfortable garments available.
